The criminal proceedings for various crimes can differ, and the specific circumstances under which an alleged event unfolded can be vital information. If an individual is facing charges due to being suspected of criminal involvement, there may be uncertainty as to how the circumstances will affect a specific case. Therefore, it may be wise to seek assistance in formulating a criminal defense and in learning about the proceedings as they relate to the charges filed.

One woman in Colorado may be gathering legal information after she was arrested. It was reported that she allegedly given her a son a “pot brownie,” and as a result, the 19-year-old boy reportedly jumped from a window three stories up. Witnesses stated the boy started acting oddly after consuming the brownie and then ran across the room and jumped out the window.

The boy’s mother was charged for giving marijuana to an underage individual, and she is facing an additional felony charge for tampering with a witness. Details on how this felony charge came about were not disclosed in the report. The woman was booked into jail after the incident.

Some individuals may feel the need to address felony charges differently than they would misdemeanor charges. Therefore, the Colorado woman may wish to gather information on what the felony charge means for her situation and determine how she would like to handle her current state of affairs. If she chooses, she is entitled to assert a criminal defense to maintain her innocence with respect to the allegations leveled against her.
