Man offering free massages in custody for sex offenses

Understandably, a sex crime arrest is serious. Colorado residents who are accused of sex offenses are at risk of losing their freedom. A criminal conviction could impact them for the rest of their lives. A man offering free massages is being investigated for sexual assault. He has already been arrested in connection with one incident.

Traffic stops may lead to shaky arrests for drug offenses

In Colorado and all other jurisdictions, special issues arise when a drug arrest emanates from what started out as a traffic stop. Most recently, this happened in Colorado Springs when an officer observed a "suspicious" vehicle, which prompted him to run the plates and determine that the registered owner of the car had a revoked license. In the aftermath of the traffic stop, the driver, a 44-year-old female, was arrested on traffic and drug offenses.

Police accuse 5 men of drug offenses by making, selling meth

Methamphetamine penalties in Colorado are severe and uncompromising. For drug manufacturing, an individual can get up to six years for a first offense involving seven grams or less. If the drug offenses involve manufacturing more than seven grams the punishment can be as high as 16 years. If the defendant is convicted of making more than four ounces of meth, the sentence can go as high as 32 years.

Salesman is arrested for sex offenses against possible customer

Door-to-door salesmen are not often accused of sexual assaults by their prospective customers. It does happen, however, and thus it is important for their employers to do a thorough check on their backgrounds. In one recent incident in Colorado, a 26-year-old man with an alleged prior criminal record was arrested for allegedly pushing his way into a woman's home and sexually assaulting her by force. The woman says that she fought him off, and the police caught the suspect and charged him with burglary and sex offenses.

Colorado woman charged with solicitation to commit murder

Relationships often sour, and comments made to those outside the relationship can land people in serious trouble if those comments are passed on to law enforcement and viewed as threats. In some cases, a criminal defense must be mounted against charges stemming from misconstrued comments made related to a relationship.

Assault claims a serious issue in Colorado, including false ones

When police receive a report of an incident that rises to a felony offense, they are required to take it seriously. Accusations of a sex offense are ones that are certainly investigated by law enforcement officers in Colorado, and that was exactly the case this past November.
