Being charged for alleged criminal activity is never an easy situation. An individual will have many steps to take in order to address his or her legal situation, and the circumstances of the case will need to be assessed. If an individual has been accused of DUI, that party’s decisions regarding how to defend against the allegation will likely play a considerable role in how the situation moves forward.

One man in Colorado may be assessing his situation after he was involved in an accident. It was reported that the man was driving a vehicle in a work zone when he apparently drove through traffic cones and collided with a parked truck. The truck had apparently been positioned in hopes of protecting workers who were in a manhole. Unfortunately, the two workers in the manhole at the time of the alleged incident were reportedly injured.

The driver of the vehicle purportedly involved in the incident was taken to an area hospital, but he is expected to recover. The situation resulted in that man being cited for DUI. It was not noted whether any tests were administered to determine the man’s level of alleged intoxication.

As the situation moves forward, the man accused of DUI will likely want to explore defensive strategies that may prove beneficial to his case. He may wish to work with his legal counsel and examine any evidence the prosecution may have against him. Additionally, he may want to learn more about Colorado criminal proceedings relating to his case in order to have a better understanding of the legal circumstances.
