Colorado man faces DUI, other charges

When an individual is charged with a crime, there could be considerable cause to explore legal options. The options available could depend heavily on the charges that a party is facing. Individuals who have had DUI allegations leveled against him or her may wish to follow a different avenue than parties facing other charges. Because each case is unique, accused parties should assess their circumstances as they proceed legally.

One man in Colorado may be hoping to find the options best suited for his situation after being charged with an alleged crime. It was reported that staff members at a church had called police due to suspecting the man to be intoxicated while inside the church. When officers arrived, the man was apparently in the parking lot. When authorities approached the man, he allegedly hit one of the officers and drove away.

A description of the man's vehicle was reportedly aired on the radio, and a witness later informed authorities to the man's alleged location. The man was taken into custody on charges of DUI, resisting arrest and multiple other allegations. He was reported as being 56 years old.

Because the circumstances of his case may differ from many other Colorado DUI cases, the man may want to explore how his available options may affect his particular situation. By gaining more knowledge, he may be able to determine whether he would like to create a defense against the allegations or plead guilty, perhaps as part of a plea bargain. Each course of action could lead to different results, and it is important that the man moves forward in an agreeable direction.
